In low-income countries, data management limitations impact the time for a patient to receive results and the ability to inform policy change with accurate data. In 2019, Path of Logic worked with a technology consultant, Maurice Rogers, to design a computer platform that could create and store pathology reports in a simple cloud based system. The system also has simple disease coding that can generate reports for cancer elated research. In the first year of implementation, the Mbarara University of Science and Technology saw improved turnaround times from an average of 47 days documented in 2010, to 13. The system has not experienced downtimes despite the internet limitations of Uganda.
