Uganda 2022

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Education

This year, Path of Logic had to cancel the onsite visit due to the ebola outbreak. Onsite education will continue again in March 2023.

Enhancement

This year we introduced a fume hood to the dissection area of the pathology lab. This hood will make dissections more safe for the doctors in training by pulling dangerous formaldehyde particles out of the air so they’re not inhaled.

Technology

We expanded the Laboratory Information Management System to 2 additional sites, including the Mulago Women’s Hospital and a private laboratory in the Kampala area.  The additional logging of cases will help us assess trends in Uganda over a larger population of people, while also helping to improve the functioning of the individual hospitals.

Community Project

We’ve been proud to partner with Mpowerd to distribute nearly 1500 solar lights to primary schools and to rural villages without electricity. The 2022 trip was postponed to 2023 due to the Ebola outbreak. To learn more about Mpowerd click here.
